I ramp up my lights starting at about 8am with peak intensity from 11am to 4pm. The royal blues and UV's are on for about an hour prior to the whites.
Is there a benefit to increasing the time the blues are on by themselves? Should the gap be decreased? I'm having little to no growth.

It's a RapidLED kit with 24 royal blue (50% peak intensity), 12 neutral white (40% peak intensity), 2 cool white, 6 violet UV (50% peak intensity), 2 green (10%), and 2 red (10%). Light mounted 12" above tank with 80 degree optics.

Ca 420
Alk 9.0
Mg 1500
Nitrate 2.5
Phosphate <.25 (Using API kit. Measurement probably closer to 0)
1.025 sg
Temp 78

There are many reason why growth is limited. This is the schedule I use and it works for me. I do not separate any of the colors except at night. I start with a two hour ramp at 2 pm then they are at 75% all colors except for the whites they are at 50% until 10 pm all the lights ramp down to zero except the blue for two hours then I keep the blues on at 3% until 6am.

Thanks Marc. There is something going on in my tank that's inhibiting growth. Everything else is stable, so I'm tweaking the lights to see if that helps. What type of LED system are you using?

On my frag system 24 x 48 I use two Radions gen 1 Yes there old but work well. On my display 72 x 24 I use 3 AI hydras 52's Its also fair to tell you since there is no one else here my house stays dark thru out the day. Too much light can be bad as well.

How high above the tank are they mounted?
