Braided vinyl on Waveline pump

Hi.

I have a waveline 6000. Set and tested today. 1" outlet. Used 1" braided vinyl on it and it was not very snug. Had to crank on the hose clamp something fierce to stop the very very slow drip. Others have this issue? Suggestions of other hose?

Braide is pretty stiff. I use regular clear hose and it's pretty pliable and is tight. There isn't a pressure issue and I see no need for a heavy duty return hose myself.
