I'm about due for new bulbs in my constellation fixture and want to make my overall coloration a little bit bluer.

There are two columns of 7 bulbs (for a total of 14 bulbs)
My current bulb configuration has two columns of the following:

ATI Blue Plus
ATI Aqua Blue Special
ATI Blue Plus
UVL 75.25
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Aqua Blue Special
ATI Blue Plus

What I'm thinking about doing is swapping out the Blue Plus for True Actinicis OR doing the following:

ATI Blue Plus
ATI Coral Plus
ATI Blue Plus
UVL 75.25 or True Actinic?
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Coral Plus
ATI Blue Plus

Any suggestions?

add more blue bulbs.....j/k

i tried to add actinics in place of blue + and the tank appeared to be less blue due to actinics being washed out with other bulbs. i think you second combo would be a little more blue but not much. u could swap one special for a blue plus....?

I like the 2nd combo. I run 3B+, 1C+. the 2:1 B+:C+ will yield an Icy Blue 18k, with the TA in the middle, should be a beautiful true 20k...

Good Luck

FYI, the ABS is an older bulb and the Coral+ is a blended bulb with Blue+, ABS, and Purple+. in their own little percentages.... hope that makes sense... it looks good with the B+

Don't drop blues for actinics as you will sacrifice PAR.
