so I've had this torch coral for a long time now. recently I've noticed it blows these huge bubbles for most of the day. some heads have them some days then some have them other days. it's been doing this for the past month+ and I'm starting to wonder what the hell it's doing. I attached 2 pictures of what it looked like last night before lights out because this was the biggest bubble yet. what could this be?http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/03/ysa5asur.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/03/a7ysuhud.jpg

In for more information, I noticed one of my zoa's doing the same thing yesterday.

It might be attempting to reproduce. Check this out.

thanks for the link...I'll read this tonight. I didn't know what the hell it was doing...hopefully this article has some answers. I thought it was weird it did this out of no where.

i had one of my frogspawn do that to me before, was really odd and never seen another coral do it sense. the frog wasnt hurt at all and it stopped doing it after a few days.

My hammer does this right before that head splits into two heads.

Could be a month or so then should go away

it's been more then that already. I guess I'll just leave it alone for an other week and see what happens. maybe I need to move it to less flow or something?

Just leave it, it looks happy, if it's not being hurt by blowing bubbles, maybe it's having fun? :)

My frogspawn does this when it is forming a new mouth.

as long as it's not a bad thing I guess it's ok. I haven't seen too many post online about this and I can't really find any information in that article that was posted above. it just doesn't look very good right now. the tentacles are skinny and the bubbles are just getting bigger and bigger. I'll just forget about it for a bit and just see what happens.
