Canister filter

Hi!

I was just wondering how to setup my canister filters. I have a IM Nuvo 16G tank which is currently cycling (4 weeks).
I currently have 2 canister filters with floss on top and carbon below.
Should I use carbon or not while cycling?
any recommendations what to put inside the canisters?

Sounds like a lot for a 16g. What kind of canisters? You probably don't need it for the cycle but it is cheap enough that I would. If each canister has 2 trays I would only use carbon in the bottom of one. Maybe a carbon GFO combo tray, Filter floss or sponges for mechanical filtration on the tops and rock rubble, ceramic rings, biomax or any other form of biological filtration on the other bottom.
