I need to buy some dry rock. I was hoping to get it from marco rock but they never wanted to contact me back and take my money! I am hoping for some advice on other good places to get dry rock.

I found 40lbs on amazon with free shipping for $60. Natures Ocean is the brand. Not bad, especially since you have to cure/clean dry rock anyways.

I'm using Caribsea South Seas Base Rock - 40lbs. Very porous nice looking rocks, in the box it comes with some good sized pieces.

I bought from JL Aquatics. Local shops wanted $110 for the same box of dry rock, got it for $75 shipped (my total order qualified for free shipping).

I would recommend this stuff to anyone. Whatever rocks you end up buying just make sure to soak them and rinse them thoroughly, lots of dust on the rocks you don't want in the tank.

reefcleaners, if you look in their vendor forum I just posted pics of the rock I got. I ordered 50 lbs of rock and it is great.

Bulk Reef Supply gets my vote. I like their Reef Saver Rock because it's very easy to aquascape.

Doesn't seem like Marc to ignore a customer. I've spoken with him many times over the years and seems like a great character. Might want to try again, no matter how hard business tries someone is going to fall through the cracks.

Hope all is well with him.

Pukani is incredible it just comes with its fair share of phosphates. That is easy to deal with if you have time.

Marco rocks just ordered 100lbs for the 120 and love the prime cuts !
Got 75 regular and 25 prime and shelf was also nice to add to the top of the tank!

Very clean also was thinking of doing a acid bath but After I got the rock I just saw no point just wash off and set in tank.

Was thinking of going this route for my build but at liveaquaria you can get premium fiji liverock for a similar cost. Think the base rock is the same price or cheaper but would have to look again. With this, what is the point of the dry rock sans the hitchhiker argument?

Still have a few months before my build so prices may change.

Found this post yesterday, and looked up the various mentioned suppliers. Does anyone know of a supplier for 'cut bot sides' dry rock?
I found a source a little while back, but like an idiot didn't bookmark the page. What got my attention was the cuts that they would do for a price.
None of the above mentioned suppliers is the one I saw, although Marco Rocks is similar.
