Can anyone tell me what this is it seems to have a hard shell and the black part opens and closes, it also has cobweb coming from it too277071

Does it have a white oval/diamond shape on it's hard back? Google 'keyhole limpet' for pix. If so, it's a VERY good algae eater & good for your tank. I had a bunch of them in my tank in FL. a few yrs ago.

Not that I can see and I googled keyhole limpet and doesnt seem to look like that. Thanks anyway tho

It's kind of hard to tell from those pictures, but the cobwebs make me think vermetid snail.
