Saw this strange growth on my foxface today. Almost looks like a patch of green algae growing on him...???

My guess is HLLE.

How long have you had this fish? Whats your tanks parameters? How long has the lesion been there?
Although not proven in any studies, sometimes they say HLLE is a cause of running excess Activated Carbon.

The fish is about 6 months old in my system. The thing has been there maybe 4 days I would guess....

210gal dt
75gal sump
LR and oolite
skimmer
chaeto fuge
2 WP40's for flow
2 Reefbreeders leds
Haven't used gac or gfo for probably 3 months now.

79.7F
1.025
pH 8.27-8.20 (lights on to lights off changes)
9.6alk
440cal
1280mag

Big 3 dosed via reefangel daily.

No big swings in pH, temp, supplements to my knowledge.

No nuisance algae issues. Chaeto grows pretty good and I harvest every couple weeks. Coraline growing great.

Small array of sps, lps, softies and 3 anemones.

10 fish (medium to light bio load imo still)
Everyone is fat and healthy except this spot on the foxface (crossing fingers).

Foxface acts normal as far as I can tell...

Is it protruding at all or is it just the skin changing colors?

It is raised a little off his skin; definitely not just his skin changing color.

I think you can rule out HLLE. If this looks like a separate organism and not part of the fish; I'd be tempted to try removing it with a tweezers. Hold the fish in a wet towel, it may come right off. If done quickly, this shouldn't bother the fish at all. If it does come off; swab the area with a little mercurochrome or something similar. There are many parasites in the ocean that we don't see often, this may be one of them.
