Cleaning frag plug out of algae

How can I clean a frag plug out of algae?
I just bought 2 frags and the plugs have tiny HA or Bryopsis.

I pop the frags off the plug. If you don't want to do that grab a toothbrush and scrub. I would not be putting anything in my tank that I even suspected of having bryopsis.

I too would remove the coral if possible to prevent anything from getting in my tank.
