Just out of curiosity my rock, which is all once live Marco rock I got from a buddy, has some purple coloring on some areas. The rock was dry for oh 8-12 months. Is it possible for coraline to 'rejuvenate',for lack of a better term, after being re introduced into an aquarium. There are definite purplish and pinkish patches. Common sense tells me no but stranger things happen.

The purple will become white when you put it back in a tank
