Cracked and chipped tank, need advice.

Looking for some opinions,

I recently bought a used Leemar 120 eurobraced off of another forum. I've had it out in my garage while working on cleaning it out. I haven't had a chance to work on it the last week because of the 100+ temperatures we've had in California recently. Well, today when I went to go work on it, I noticed that a crack had developed on the upper right side of the front pane.

There is not a gouge on the outside or inside as it may look like it the pictures.

There is also a chip on the bottom right of the front pane. It had been there when I bought it, but it was not significant, it seems to have climbed up slightly. It is not cracked.

I have been moving the tank around a bit and have had it up on it's side to work on it. I didn't hit it or bump into it at all, I'm thinking it may have been the temperature fluctuations that have made the crack appear.

My question is, is this something that I can or should repair? If not, how much would it be to get the front pane replaced?

I am not an expert, but a crack in the glass is bad. How big is the crack? I think you will have to replace the glass.

The crack is about 1.5"

glass can withstand temperature changes very well, its very rapid changes that cause trouble. I doubt the temp slowly rising to 100 degrees then back down over the course of hours would cause the corner to crack.

If the crack was already there and not visible, would it exacerbate it?
