I have this small colony of long branching tube coral. it looks very healthy and COOL when light's off but totally close when lights on

this is how it looks under moonlight

ill show some pictures of it under mh

any tricks to keep it open at daytime? should i target feed it mysis at night when its open?

It's a Dendrophyllia arbuscula. I've one that started just like yours. But with more feeding tissue recovers to the base and open up as crazy and more time including daytime. Feed it mysis in a daily basis. Later in a month or so space feedings to every to days.

I got a few from a LFS which were in much worse shape and they are doing really well. A healthy specimen will have orange flesh all the way down the tube and connect with the other tubes at the base. I would go with a daily feeding routine for now. I actually just feed mine frozen brine.
