Hey guys about to set up a new tank. I'm currently using No3p04x with zeovit Bacteria and supps. All parameters are good, a few years ago I used bio pellets instead of a Zeo reactor with great results as well. I would like to know pros and cons of running either 3. At this stage in my current tank I don't get any algae on the glass more a slight film I'm guessing from the bacteria where as if I was using a reactor the bacteria would cultivate inside the reactor? Also if i was to change to a Zeo or bio pellet reactor how I would go about going off no3po4x. My current tank is a rsm130 and upgrading to an 80g tank.

IMO, soluble organic carbon dosing (vinegar, vodka, No3p04x, etc.) is a little easier to adjust as needed than is solid organic carbon dosing (pellets), so I prefer them (I use vinegar), but pellets obviously work.

If you intend to change, I'd start reducing the No3p04x and put the pellets online at the same time. I'd take 2-3 weeks to stop the No3p04x.
