My favorite, and can been kept in smaller tanks. Just a stunning fish, and if you've seen in person, you'll understand.

I agree, stunning fish. Couldn't see spending $3K on any fish though - particularly to watch it get the crap beaten out of it by my yellow (though I suppose one would simply remove the latter ahead of buying the former). I also rally like the Zebra Tang - still expensive, but not $3K expensive.

Beautiful fish, though I dont believe the price is justified.

Are hey just that difficult to come by that the market demands that price?

Its just ridiculous. Rare or not. It could be the ONLY one and thats still just a crazy price and there's just no reason but some of us are crazier than others and pay it because they have it.
If I were going over $1000 for a fish, it would be a blueline tamarin.

A couple guys around here have one, and the more expensive something is, the more desirable for some people.

Went to House of Fins today to see all the fish I could never afford and they had one for the low price of $4500. First guy to figure out how to captive breed those bad boys is going to be rich.

Your gig needs a boot out the door. He ate your moorish idol and another fish or 2 if I remember right. I will never own another carpet nem after my small one at my copper band and a dwarf lion

Not really. As soon as you flood the market the price would plummet.
