cool...does he have a thread on RC? I like that he builds everything himself...even his CNC machine

I believe it's the 17000 gallon reef zilla. You will find build threads on here I think and on another place. Just search 17000 gallon reefzilla

This guy isn't too far from me, along the WI & IL border. They had him on the local news a couple years ago. Would love to see the fish room firsthand to see all his custom stuff.

On that news cast he mentioned about "goin bigger" with a separate building, which make me wonder if he's has started construction on the new tank by now.

I think there was a build thread on reef frontiers forum. Interesting guy.

Unbelievable. I wonder how he nets a sick fish.

Do you know why? Interesting guy indeed. That is a great quote by David Saxby

That sucks, because it was awesome. I just showed my wife this video and she just looked at me and laughed and stated "don't even think about it!" Lol :)

Curious when you read about this? I just checked and it was only spring of last year (http://fox6now.com/2013/03/27/bristol-home-features-largest-privately-owned-fish-tank/) when they had it in the local news.

Bill Wann Is his name I believe. Build thread over at another site, search for tankzilla and his name. (Can't recall if links are allowed to other reef sites.). Thread was closed because people started turning into jerks and couldn't keep their comments to themselves.

I think he was banned quite a few years ago. 2005-06. The tank is in Bristol WI, I haven't heard that it was dismantled, though. That would be sad! :(

Hmm.. I could be wrong. I do not remember when or where I read it.

I thought it was never finished. Thought he broke up with his fiancé and decided to sell the place. But I guess I was wrong

I wonder how much he spent on the livestock? Transport and delivery, food, and what he has to do if there is a outbreak in the system?

As far as his facebook posts the tank is still running.
