I was told to feed my corals twice a week, two capfuls of marine snow.

One of the LFS guys told me to turn my sump off and just leave the powerhead running for about two hours after pouring in the snow to let the coral have a chance to eat.

Is this what you guys do? If not, how do you feed your coral?

What type of coral? How mature is your tank? I feed my coral once a week.

I typically turn off all pumps and target feed with a turkey baster. I'm following this post to see what others are doing though.

I turn off my power head but leave my return pump on.

I turn off all pumps (including return and skimmer because it likes to overflow when water in the sump gets high) for about 10 - 15 min while I target feed with a turkey baster. I then turn on one of the circulation pumps in the tank for 30 min before turning on the return and rest of the pumps. I have a NPS gorgonian that I feed everyday... if I didn't have him, I'd feed about 2x a week.
