I am currently battling an ongoing cyano issue. No matter how I place my powerheads in the tank, it keeps coming back. I just changed my GFO the other day. I have no nuisance algae at all, except for occasionally having to clean the glass.

I feel like I have plenty of flow. I am running 2 Koralia 1050gph and a wp-25.

Current parameters:
Ammonia-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate-0
PH-8.3
Alk-10.1
Calcium-523
Mag-1450
Phosphate-Can't check. Out of reagent.

If its fish only, turn off the lights for 3 days and keep up the flow. The ambient light will be fine the fish wont mind. Also adjust your feeding habbits and the cyano will starve without the ligts...

I did the lights out thing before with tremendous success. As far as feeding goes, I only feed once a day for maybe 2 or 3 minutes. I was considering doing lights out again.

The thing that is interesting to me is that it seems I have no other nutrient issues (no hair algae, etc.). Just the cyano.

I did change my flow around to see if it will help with the issue.
