Local LFS?

I am planning to finally get into the hobby later this year. I planned on buying most equipment and livestock from west hartford PC. I just realized they are gone.

Is there a thread somewhere about LFS in CT? I don't really know where to turn to right now.

With puppy center gone, most of us have turned to APC, which it's where Joe from pc now works. Blake's aqua den in meriden also recognizes ctars & gives us good deals.

The coral reef in Stratford is the nicest layout of a reef store I have ever seen & generally has a lot of livestock no one else generally carries in CT stores. Along with a great staff that is very knowledgeable.

I hear exotic in Milford is also great, but I have never been there. & headies coral in the haven area is also nice but a little small.

Equipment wise watch these forums as very often members are selling equipment and you are able to get good equipment at great prices.

Livestock wise all mentioned above are very good. and as I wrote above very often member are selling things

I agree with everyone above. Watch the boards here, there's always folks upgrading and selling off equipment and others selling livestock.

You won't regret that purchase. I have a 93 cube and love it. Great tank to aqua scape.
