Getting ready to purchase my first anenome. Should it be quarantined? If so, how long? Do the get dipped like corals? Your advice would be appreciated.

Deep reef, the Nems really don't need to be QT'ed, but it is wise to QT everything that enters your system. They inflate with water which could bring ICH into your system, but that is very rare.

They do not need to be dipped like corals.

What kind of NEM are you wanting to get? How long has your tank been running?

Tank has been running for a year. Thinking of bubble tip, maybe a rainbow

You should have no problems. Just put him in the tank. Make sure you have decent lighting.

What ya got?? :-)

If it's the lighting in his sig, it should be more than sufficient for a bubble tip. ;)

You could snag any BTA you want and just drop it in that system. You should have no problems at all dude, barring really really bad luck.

If you get a rose bubble tip anemone, place it far from your corals
The first 72 hours it will probably move around untill it finds a spot it likes.
Keep close watch some like high flow and will try to get too close to your power heads .
I've lost several this way. Until I got foam guards.

What do your foam guards look like?
