Adding Corals

How many corals can I add at any given time??

I am going to look and hopefully buy some corals from a fellow reefer that is tearing down his tank. May buy many butt need to know if its like stocking fish?

Corals are nothing like stocking fish. Corals do not add to your bio load, so you can add as much as your wallet can handle.

it's better to put them in the Qt first and transfer them slowly over a period of time into your system. just my .02.

Agreed but in this particular case these are all from the same healthy established community and I have absolutely nothing in my tank.

As many as you feel comfortable managing. It can be a good bit of work finding the right position/lighting/flow for the corals. Then there is always the possibility of one of your fish/snails/urchins relocating them for you. A frag rack or tank is good to have for a large Number of new corals so you don't have to worry about placing them all right away.

Made a nice score today. I made it somewhat easier on my by getting the rocks that they were attached to. I got some ZOA's , palys, birdsnest, xenia., mushrooms, a good 15 pounds of liverock. A few I need to identify still. I also got 2 GBTA's. I know m tank is young but he didn't want to try and remove them from the rock.

I got a large colony of these but forgot the name. They are still closed up.
