Coraline on Powerheads

What is the current thinking on allowing coralline algae to grow on Power Heads? Is this personal preference on whether to leave it or clean it off? I personally do not like the look of it on the power heads but want to make sure there is not a reason to leave it.

I have a little bit growing on mine. I havnt scraped it off because im just excited to see coraline growth.

Like you said, it's all personal preference. When pumps need to be cleaned though, (maybe once every 6 months or so) I think you'll find that most people will give them a vinegar bath. Now they look brand new again. :)
