RODI in DT, Tap in QT?

To date I've been using tap water in my quarantine tanks, whereas for my display, I only use RODI. Do others on here do this too? What I'll do is once a fish is ready for the DT, the last water change or two on the QT will be with water from the DT. I'm setting up a QT for corals now and wondering if this would be ok in that setup too.

i haven't had occasion to qt any corals but i have used tap water for the last 2 fish without a problem. i live in the boonies and my water comes from a sand point 30' underground so i don't worry about chemicals although i still won't use it in my dt.
