Wanting to try my hand at some bounce and jawbreakers, anyone have any advice on care, flow and lighting placement, pitfalls to avoid, general husbandry before I sink the big bucks? All help appreciated. My sps doing well as are my rics and the Yuma I got about a month ago seems ship shape as well.

Jawbreakers and bounce mushrooms are not difficult to care for, despite the cost. The colors that you get out of them are both random and light dependent, so even if you have the right lighting, they may not color up like you hope.

They are shrooms that are quite easy to care for. Just make sure you don't place them in strong flow. They may detach and be loss to the abyss. I have never seen a ugly jawbreaker. Highlight more orangish color, low light more of yellowish color. For the color both these gems have and ease of care it was a no brainer for me to purchase them.

I've never had any issues with my bounce... Very hardy... Have a few on my frag rack and some on my sand bed... Definitely one of my easiest corals...

I have a friend looking for a bounce and/or jawbreaker. Anyone know a good retailer or hobbyist with good ones? Also, what's the going price for each? Nice looking ones you got there pbft90!! Mind me asking the price range you bought those for and the sizes? Pic 2 shroom is Sa-Weet! Thanks for the info!!

Jawbreakers can be found around the $100-$200 range for tiny babies with just the one color... If you want more color it'll cost you a bit more...

Bounce shrooms are usually around the $300 range and up depending on the amount of bubbles on the shroom... Jason Fox had one up for sale recently but it was around $600... CB on eBay has em up for sale every once in awhile also but his frags are really tiny...

Yea I found a guy on a FB page that sent me the 3 I posted pics of and another which I sold to a bud of mine for $250. They are all pretty small but all very cool and unique so I didn't mind it I'll grow them out instead of paying top dollar for a larger size one especially since my tank is newer everything's still filling out so it won't look like an orange spec in a forest.
