Weird things in my sump

I was admiring my ball of chaeto and found some cool little brittle stars in it along with some amphipods but then I saw some weird things sitting around my skimmer.

I can't get pictures because they are too small, but the best way to describe it is little white pineapples. They have a round fat bottom with a spiky top like leaves on a pineapple.

Also some white growth on the skimmer which I assume are some sort of sponges.

Any idea what these little white pineapple thingys are???

Never mind I answered my own question via google.....pineapple sponges. What a novel name huh?

Can you elaborate? I'm not familiar with them. I read it means your tank is healthy.
