Heater in a CPR Bak Pak

I'm starting work on a used 30 gallon I bought just for a Maroon clown. It came with a CPR Bak Pak skimmer and I am thinking of putting the heater in the skimmer. Has anyone done this or has anyone seen this before? I just think its one less thing that would be hanging in the tank.

I would not do it, that skimmer is already a very poor performer, don't do anything that may disrupt it's ability to function and make it even less stable.

I found several instances of people putting the heater in the output side of the skimmer. I got the tank set up with sand, rock, and water Saturday. I put the heater in the skimmer and it seems to be working fine. Now for the waiting game for the cycle to complete.
