View Full Version : Clams and T5 lighting?

I have a four bulb 39 watt T5 fixture with all ATI bulbs. I want to ensure that I would be able to keep a clam on the sand bed. My tank is 24 inches deep.

All of my corals grow very well, including SPS. Parameters are very stable and would be ideal for a clam.

I'd probably go with squamosa since they are easier...unless a maxima is possible.

I've heard this should be enough lighting, but can someone chime in please?

that should be enough. obviously a 6 bulb fixture would be better for a clam on the tall of a tank, but give it a try. worse comes to worse, you could move the clam up higher towards the light for it to receive the proper lighting it needs...
