So, the new, well maybe not new, but new to me, acclimation is to have your QT set to the SG of the water that your new fish arrive at and just dump them in.

So, when moving from QT to DT, if the SG matches, within .005, just dumpt them in?

Seems the logic would follow, even though ammonia is not an issue as it is with newly arriving fish, particularly from on line outlets. By the way AL/DD ships all fish at 35 ppt.

that's what i've done when moving a fish from qt to dt. as long as salinity and temp match, in it goes. i've done this with 3 fish so far and all is well.

I ordered a powder brown tang online and frankly the bag it was in was too small. It looked terrible like it gasping for air. I did a rapid acclamation because I assumed the ammonia in the bag was high. It didn't look good for a few hours like it was in shock. Happily he made it through qt and is happy in his new home eating like crazy.
