How do these compare to the Lumenarc minis? I love my LAs, but they are too efficient for my 40, and I need a bit more spread. The cabo seems like it would do the trick, but can't find any data to compare. I'm stuck using my canopy, the top of the reflector would be 13" off of the water. After all the bulb and ballast chasing, I ended up with a free, never used, 250w Radium. Running it on an ARO ballast has given me the perfect color I've been looking for. Problem is that the LA gives me 200-300 par across the bottom of the tank, and upwards of 700+ near the top. Ideally, I want to trade about 10-20% par for 10-20% more spread.

I saw your thread the other day but I can't really comment because I have no experience with the LAs. But I can say that the Cabo Mini has some nice spread. I have 3 over my 84" long tank.

Does anyone have a picture of their setup in a canopy? TIA
