I'd really like to see photos of anyone's four bulb setup with ATI's

Right now I have regular white 10k bulbs with a true actinic and purple plus because I got them for cheap....but I want to replace the 10k bulbs with either two blue plus or blue plus and coral plus.

Any photos/Suggestions are welcomed
😄

Couldn't see the picture, fixed it for you.
The "direct" link is what you want to use.
Looks a bit too white, the blue+ should be better.

I run two blue+, coral+ and purple + ATI bulbs. A nice blue tint which I like, not deep windex type blue.

I ended up buying two blue+ and here's the pic

It honestly way too blue. I'm gonna get a coral + and remove the actinic

I removed the actinic and just replaced it with the stock 10k bulb and it looks much better. Still very blue and the corals still fluoresce.

2 Blue Plus, 1 Purple Plus, and 1 Coral Plus is best in my opinion.

Here is a pic of some of my mushrooms with 3 blue plus and 1 purp plus. It does have that "windex" look but I kinda like it. If I felt like spending the money and it bothered me I would trade a blue for a aquablue special or coral plus bulb. Besides the more red spectrum light you have the more algea growth you get. .At least thats what i hear, may be complete bs? Someone correct me if I'm wong ; )

Is everyone adjusting the color with photoshop to get the true color they see before posting pics?

Two Blue+ & 2Coral+...............It's great for any type of corals and especially SPS.

2+ years worth of picures under this same combo if you want to see more---

Thanks, here's some comments from another forum that I posted about another one of the aspects of using the repeating combo-----

I personally like the whiter brighter look...........there's a tinge of blue in the look still. If you're coming form being used to a 20k type look it will look too white till you get used to it. You have to live with it for a while and it will grow on you mainly because your coral colors will look and pop that much better.

The colors will actually be in the corals and not just looking a certain way because of colored water throwing fake colors on your corals.

A fellow reefer came by the other day to pick up a few corals and he commented how he really liked how the corals looked under this lighting. He said…….”you can actually see all the colors, those look like Rastas, and the Magicians look like the photos…………all that dark blue light isn’t masking all the colors”

There's also another aspect that's overlooked with this combo............because you're repeating and overlapping the same spectrum you can literally put the corals anywhere in the tank. The par will be even across the whole tank also. For example, at 10" from the lights the par is the same across the whole tank........front to back and side to side under the available coverage of the lights.

You only have to concern yourself with one thing and that's how much light the acro likes par wise.......how high or low intensity affects color/growth to your tastes.

one blue+, one kz superbly, two giesemann pure actinics.
And yes, this is color corrected to show true to life color.
But these are supplements to my MH. I would never run the tank this blue, outside of dawn/dusk.

This is an older combo.
Two Blue+, One Coral+ and KZ Superblue.

I run 2 blue +, one coral +, and one ATI actinic. Nice blue tint with some pop from the actinic. The coral + has made the purple + an obsolete bulb in my opinion. It has all the red/violet you could ever need without going overboard.

running 3 blue+ and one coral+ right now. looks good. tho it has the windex look to it. I was thinking to replace one blue+ with another coral+ or purple+

Its a great mix of color....not too much blue with just a slight hint of purple and enough white to promote growth.you can also switch out the purple+ for a true actinic if you want less PAR
