my TDS meter on my RO/DI unit reads 002. I wanted to double check with a hand held TDS meter and it reads 140 which is what my water from the tap is. I can't believe my ro/di water is that bad. I have been running it for about a year. 15 gal. water change every ten days.

The TDS meter on the RO unit... Even with exhausted filters throughout the TDS reading will never be what it is out of the tap

Did you put this water in a cup or something to make that measurement with the handheld? Was that container absolutely clean?

you do have the waste line in the drain and the product line in the container right lol

I took a cupful from my makeup water. I have some diatomes on my glass and sand, but my phos is a about .025.

Where is the tds meter on the filter? After RO or after DI? Where did you get the water you measured with the handheld tds meter from? The storage container? A bucket that was holding salt water before?
