Hi,

I have a four year old MaxCap 180 Standard with the optional high-rejection membrane, and it's worked perfect. Here are the numbers:

However the last two months, after turning off the supply, the yellow waste tubing continues to drip. I made sure the supply was off, and even turned off the supply-to-the-supply to make sure it was not those valves.

So somehow the RODI unit is managing to push water out of the waste line, even with no water going in. What could this be?

First, disconnect the black line from the sediment filter housing. Be sure that the tap water valve IS shutting off completely.

The only other place the water can come from would be an open reservoir that is siphoning back into the system, or a pressurized tank with a bad check valve.

How much water does flow out the yellow tube after shutting the tap water valve off?

Ok the seeping stopped after removing the black line. Interesting, that nothing came out of the black line. Maybe there was residual pressure built up. Nothing has been replaced yet; all is as it was when new.
