pinched mantle disease?

Couldn't get pix to upload, however I did add 3 pix of my squamosa clam to my album( its the only 3 pix). Could someone please check them out and tell me if this is pmd. I wasn't too concerned untill I noticed stringy stuff coming from the affected area. Thanx so much in advance

Something seems off, but hard to tell if PMD; it looks open/extended, but that's how it is at first. Do the "pinched" areas coincide with where a majano has attached? They might be irritating it. Also, are you sure it's not a derasa? Nice clam.

Kfisc......those majano have been there for years. I kinda thought the same thing. This was in a fellow reefers tank for years, I just aquired it a few months ago. Everything else appears fine, he extends,opens etc..... There's just those few "pinched" areas. I read a lot about adding carbon....gonna give it a try. Want to avoid a fw dip at all costs
