I've had this large favia for about two years now and I've never done target feeds. It looks great, has been damaged, and has repaired itself, and shows signs of growth. Any advice on this?

As favia are LPS, I suggest posting this in the LPS forum.

You mention the favia was damaged, but has healed and is growing. That sounds terrific. I'm not sure what you are asking?

I guess about feeding? Since it seems fine do I need to direct feed it?

I feed mine. Usually a few hours after lights out I'll go through and feed all my nocturnal eating Lps like chalices, favias, etc. I mix a little oyster feast with tank water and add some cyclopeeze and sometimes some small mysis. They go nuts for it.

Sometimes adding some oyster feast about 30-45 min before feeding time can help them get all their feeding tentacles out and primed for action.

Thanks. I have a few new items and the favia made it through a temp problem, along with others. My new show bubble needs some feedings and I've been rethinking all of this.
