Purple bubble algae?

I've noticed this in my tank a few days ago. It's only on the top pieces of the LR. I'm assuming this is because it gets the most light. None of my clean up crew seems to eat it. Should I take the rock out and scrub it? I'm doing a water change tomorrow. All my parameters seem fine. Thanks for any help.

Appears to be Cyano, hard to tell in the pics.

+1 its cyano, cut down on feeding, lover phosphate and nitrate and possibly do a three day blackout with a good skimmer to kill it off, don't let it get out of hand as it can quite quickly.

all tanks have a cyano bloom at least once in its lifetime,i its almost impossible to avoid so it should eventually go away.

That's not Bubble Algae (Valonia). You might want to adjust your powerheads or add another small one to increase flow and avoid deadspots.

Yeah it's most likely cyano you just have some gasses escaping from your rocks for any number of reasons but the cyano is there to trap them and form the bubbles

Thanks guy's. I got a new skimmer, during the break in period it wasn't pulling much out of the water. Could this of been the problem? I'm about to do a water change. Should I scrub the rock in a bucket? If so should I use new water for each rock? So there is no cyano in the bucket for the next piece I clean? It's only on 4 pieces of rock.

Turkey baster, suck it off and squirt it in a bucket. Comes off pretty easy. I have the same problem in my 90. Turn off lights for 3-4 days also kills it.
