cool looking crab but I wouldn't trust it.

She's staying in the sump.

Looks like some sort of mithrax to me. Check out the flat ended claws, not pointy. Mine have been model citizens thus far, although I hear they can get accidentally destructive once they start getting big.

Based on the photo of the abdomen, I believe this little one is actually a "he."

But I agree, looks like a mithrax-type crab. The flat claws indicate mostly an algae grazer, but like any crab, they can be opportunistic.

The rule of thumb for crabs is hairy = scary.

Porcaline crab? Or some sort of emerald?
