Hello Guys here is a picture of my new bubblegum chalice. My friend gave it to me along with some other corals because he is moving out of the state. Now I am new to the hobby and have not seen many corals grow before. But I noticed this morning that my bubblegum chalice is turning a little whiter on the outer edges. Is this Normal? I was wondering is this because he is growing, dying, not getting enough light, getting t0o much light, not enough flow I just don't know......He has been in the tank for a week now so I don't if he is still acclimating or what.... I don't want to mess this up because I love this piece of coral. Any info can help. My water parameters are PH 8.2 Alk 10 Calcium is 480 Nitrite 0

Many corals fade when the light source is changed, and depending on if you have enough light or not, they will gain color over time. But there also could be issues due to changes in water parameters.

IMO it looks healthy, give it time. Just like a human moving and getting sometimes(alot of times) corals go through phases when their surroundings change, they're alive!

Looks good to me. I'll not familiar if this coral has a distinct growth ring or not. Be concerned if the tissue recedes an you start to see white skeleton .
