I started breeding Clownfish and currently have some fry in a grow out tank. I'm trying to find a reef safe fake anemone to put in there. Does anyone know a place to get them? I've looked on eBay but I couldn't find anything that stated that it was reef safe. I also recall seeing in a breeders guide that someone made something that kinda looked like a Nem for the Fry to host. But I can't recall where. Or do you even have a suggestions?

Thanks!!

No need to have a fake anemone in the tank, just a heater and sponge filter.

I know that I don't need one. I would like to put one in there.

Any of the rubbery anemones from the pet store will work just fine

The least amount of clutter in the fry tank the better. At this point you should be more focused on getting them fat and keeping the water quality as high as possible.

You can always use a real nem as well. My fry loved theirs. I think they were about two months old as well when I was just seeing how they would take to one. One fry went to it immeditaly while the othes took about a week are two and all was trying to get in it. I used a baby GBTA..

I bought mine from amazon, my clown babies love it. I didnt put it in unit they reach about a month and half old. I wanted a real one but decided against it just because lighting and what not. Just seemed easier using a fake one. I paid like 8 bucks for mine.
