My sump currently has a stronger light than my DT. A 6500k light for myr efuge vs a 17 watt T8 for my DT. I will be changing that shortly, but for the moment is it fine if I leave some ricordea frags on a rock in my sump under this light, in with cheato?
Any reason not to do such a thing?

if your sump has nothing except water in there, i see no problem for a short while. but you also have chaeto in there, which could block your ricordea from getting light since your chaeto won't be staying still because of water flow.

I dont see why not but im with pyithar, if the chaeto blocks your ric, then no light will get to it. I would hold off on any more corals until you get a better light. What size is your current tank?
Corals shouldn't have light 24/7.What is your lighting schedule in the sump?

lighting schedule was reverse to main tank, pretty much on from 9pm - 7am, should I reverse that to keep it in line with DT schedule?

I would leave that light schedule and make sure to light acclimate the coral once you put it in the display tank.

How often should I run the powerhead? When the lights are on?

It doesn't make a difference unless feeding I guess?
