I have hot pink hair algae growing in my tank. Is it something to worried about?

yes. In my experience it is worse that green hair algae.

same issues that cause GHA cause that stuff too, but less things eat it. Ive heard some turbo snails can help keep it trimmed a bit..... Good luck

Green hair algae is driving me nuts, now this, I'm gonna go crazy with water changes for couple months and see if that helps.

AlgaeFix Marine will short term fix your GHA problem.

Long term, you need to deploy/add to methods to remove your excess nutrient problem.

Looks like cotton candy algae, I cant reach it to pull it out it is growing behind a birds nest colony that is encrusted on rock and over flow.
