I saw this tiny thing growing on my rock. I saw it earlier in the day and thought it was a polyp because it was closed like a zoa or paly but when I has the moonlights on it opened up.

It this aiptasia?

You can't tell from the pic (it was hard to get a good picture, it's really small) but it has a bright green center.

i would touch it and see if it disappears. if it does then it's probably aptasia. if it just retracts like a zoanthids or pally then don't worry about it. unless it overgrows in your tank

Lightly prod it with something. If it completely retracts to the rock almost laying flat, Aptasia. If it just closes up, polyp.
