I purchased a small anemone as a bta from a fellow reefer but now I'm seriously wondering! In one year, 1 anemone has turned into 9... none of which has grown larger than 1.5 inches diameter and my two clowns have completely ignored them all! Here are a few snapshots... please chime in before I begin ripping them out of my tank! Thanks!

It looks like one to me. They tend to split when they're stressed, so that could be the reason it's multiplied so much without growing.

I had an identical anemone. It was an RBTA but due to high flow it had elongated and split a ton. I agree with Egkid, it is probably stressed.

Directly feed them and they should grow. I like to give mine a small chunk of shrimp or at least a squirt of Mysis at least once a week. I've had quite a few but my current RBTA was at least 6" when I got it from DD, quickly grew to 8"+ and has split. Now I have two 6"+. I had my current pair of wild true percs maybe a week before I got the RBTA. They looked at it a day or two, dived in and have not strayed far from it since. Now of course they have twin beds  Clowns are funny like that and a lot of tank bred seem to be dumber. Try fattening up one of the BTA's and see if they won't take to it. Also generally speaking at least RBTA's really love high intensity lighting. Mine are under MH and T5. I forget how many exactly but my original in my last tank produced 20-30 (MH/VHO) in a matter of a couple years. Well that's with 1, 2, 4, 8 etc. growth. So its not always stress but rather feeding with good lighting that makes them grow and split.
