Hermits and Red Serpent Star Fish

Should I be concerned that my red legged hermits keep hitching rides on my red serpent star fish? The star fish has only been in the tank about 10 days. Will the hermits stress it out? Could they be trying to eat him? TIA!

Is the starfish showing any damage? I dont think they would attack him but they might eat any decaying parts or damaged areas.....

maybe he is using the SS as a guide. SS goes looking for food, finds it,crab jumps off and beats SS to the food. watch him and see if the crab shares lmao
