Ok so Ive decided to upgrade my underwater camera setup which is currently a powershot SD850is and canon housing which was getting me great pictures but I wanted something with a faster response time from button push to taking the pic and I wanted something that shot in RAW.

I have narrowed it down to a Canon G16 but then I cant decide if I want to get the canon housing or spend an extra $150 for the Fantasea housing which seems to have better reviews and a deeper rating.

Im also simply lost about lighting. I definitely want to get a strobe but I dont know if I should get a simply micro strobe that top mounts on the housing, or a side arm one or if the micro will not be big enough.

Do I need to keep the housing and lighting the same brand? And then there is the flash light option as well?
