Ive noticed the coralline on my live rock has missing spots on the corners. At first I thought when I bought the rock it was just where the edges rubed ageinst other rocks and chipped it off. But I've notced little bits, about 3mm or so showing up in my sand.

I've seen my foxface picking at the rock for algea, but it seems he occasionaly bits off a small chunk of rock with whatever he's picking at. The red coralline has been deminishing since he is constantly picking at the live rock. I give him a peice of seaweed every other day and feed him plenty, once or twice a day.

does anyone else have this problem with their foxface? he does keep any hair algea to a minimum, but it almost seems like he's trying to scrap the corraline off of my rock.
