I have had my light cycle on at 14 hours for sometime (I think it was even at 16 hours too). Should I just leave it, or drop it down and slowly increase the time and temp to induce spawning? The reason I ask, is I have several clown pairs that were added to my row of tanks, and they all share the same light. I wasn't sure if the fish needed to see the increase of light over a period of time, or if a long light cycle from the get go will induce spawning. Same question with Temp. Just leave it at 84 degrees forever.. or drop it, and then slowly increase it back up.

Is it on a timer I've been told they won't spawn of there not a timer

Oh yes, definitely on a timer. I want to know if I need to gradually increase or set it and forget it.

My lights are on 8 hours a day and they breed like clock work.

How old are your clowns?

My temp is at 79 and my salinity is on the money. I feed a lot even while she's prego so she continuously lays eggs.
