So I just installed an RO/DI maxcap 90gpd system, which is my first RO unit. I've read through the instruction, but have a few questions.

First of all, I've calculated that I'll be needing about 70 gallons per month for top off and mixing saltwater.

What's the best way to achieve this? Make it all in a day and let it sit for the rest of the month? Break it in two parts with 15 days in between or back to back days?

Also, I should be flushing for 30 sec before and after making water?

Anyone?

How about the water left in the canisters after making water. Leave it or dump it out?

Hi there
You should flush about 20 minutes before. and disconnect the DI unit why doing so

Here's a late but better answer:

Make water any way that's convenient for you, as long as you don't make just one gallon every day. The rule is to minimize the number of startups.

Flush 30 SECONDS at the start and the end of operation. Has nothing to do with the DI.

Leave the water in the housings. You don't want anything to dry out.
