Hey guys,
I have a 250w Radium bulb on an HQI magnetic ballast that's been running for about 3 years now.. Crazy right? So, can someone explain to me what side effects this might have on my aquarium? From the first day til today, my SPS coral have been growing nicely and the color on the coral have stayed the same.
(I also have T5's and VHO that are long overdue. Call me lazy, but if nothing's changed, why do I need to change it?)

Thanks!

The bulbs will lose some intensity and the spectrum can shift. I typically change bulbs at the 14-16 month range but some people go longer. When you do change the bulbs be sure and either raise them higher or use some screen to keep from bleaching the corals with the sudden increase in light.

Can we see the tank under 3 year old bulbs?
