Hi everyone. I have a 75 gallon mixed reef tank that has been set up for 5 months. I've had a barletts anthias in my tank for 2 months. Would I be able to add a lyretail anyhias into my system?
My other inhabitants:
1 yellow fin fairy wrasse
2 ocellaris clowns
1 kole tang
1 flame Hawkfish
I posted this into the reef fish forum but got no responses.
I have Square and Lyretail in the same tank. Bartlett's Anthias are a bit more aggressive.

So should I refrain from adding the Lyretail? I don't want to risk any problems in my tank.

By adding just one Anthias with the Bartlett you may be asking for trouble. Bartletts are more pugnacious than squas and by only adding one will single it out. I personally would add more squas or more bartletts or a couple of each would certainly help IMO.

Would I be able to add a trio of Lyretail's or two female Barlett's with only a 75 gallon tank?

Yes. IMO no problem.

so the general consensus is that if I were to add Lyretail's, I would have better luck with the Barlett's if I added a trio? Or my other choice is to add two female Barlett's to form a trio? Both are very nice ideas that I will consider.
