Hi all,
I got my new aquarium and stand. Aquarium is 98x31x26, so 340 gal. Stand is made of square steel 2"x2"x1/4" thick, 29" high. It's painted with 2 coat of epoxy. Now I want to have panels installed (will be inwall). The cabinet maker would like to drill the stand on the face to attach the doors. Do you think it's safe to do that?
Thank's!
Pic of the stand, sorry for the poor quality:

the cabinet maker can't use those mounting tabs to attach the panels?

Unfortunately not, these brackets doesn't work with the plan I gave him. Because I want a high door on each side like this:
He said he can manage without drilling, but the result may be different. If it's risky to drill, I will just tell him not to drill. Thank's!

Still don't see his problem with using the tabs looks like they match up just fine. Sure the end panels don't have tabs but that shouldn't effect the look. Personally I would go for magnets that hit on the tabs and not bother with hinges.

No problems drilling small holes in the stand. go for it.
