I have had an elegance coral for over a year now. Within the last couple months it has become infested with flatworms. Can I safely FW dip it to get rid of them? And if so - how?
I have a green corks wrasse that has done quite a number everywhere but this coral.
I really do not like the idea of chemical treatments. Often they can be worse than the cure.
Thanks in advance for your help!
I think freshwater may be worse than a dip in flatworm exit or similar for corals. Never done it myself but I'm sure I've read of people killing corals with freshwater dips.

My understanding is that it just takes 10 - 15 seconds for the flatworms to lose their grip

Bayer Advanced.
Could you expand on that a bit for me?

Bayer Advanced Complete Insect Killer is a great dip.
1 tablespoon per 12 ounces of tank water for 15 minutes. It's inexpensive, corals love it and expand well after the dip and it kills all the buggers. There are many threads on it here.
